Wesley College is an independent Uniting Church school in South Perth, founded in 1923 and set on a 19-hectare riverside campus overlooking the Swan River. The school began as a boys boarding and day institution established by the Methodist Church and has steadily expanded to include a co-educational Junior School, a Middle School, and a boys Senior School from Years 7 to 12. Its motto, Audendo Atque Agendo (By daring and by doing), reflects a long tradition of academic ambition, strong pastoral care, and a wide curriculum supported by modern facilities, performing arts spaces and extensive sporting grounds. The college is a long-standing member of the Public Schools Association and has a significant reputation for excellence in sport, particularly in cricket, hockey and Australian rules football. Wesley maintains an active boarding community, a strong house system and a busy co-curricular programme that includes music, drama, rowing and community engagement. With its sister school Penrhos College and its heritage buildings, chapel and quadrangles, Wesley continues to operate as one of Western Australia’s leading independent schools, balancing tradition with a progressive educational approach.
