The GPS Rugby Competition is the leading First XV schoolboy rugby championship in Queensland, Australia, contested by the nine member schools of the Great Public Schools Association of Queensland. Established in 1918, it remains one of the oldest and most prestigious rugby competitions in the country, renowned for its tradition, fierce rivalries, and production of elite-level players.

The competition features Brisbane Boys’ College, Brisbane Grammar School, Brisbane State High School, Churchie (Anglican Church Grammar School), Ipswich Grammar School, Nudgee College, The Southport School, Toowoomba Grammar School, and Gregory Terrace. Played across Term 3 in a round-robin format, the season culminates in some of the biggest fixtures in Australian school sport.

The GPS competition continues to be a crucial part of Queensland’s rugby pathway, developing players who go on to represent the Reds, Wallabies, and other professional teams worldwide.
